GRAND OPENING OF OUR SOCCER FIELD!!

15 MAY 2010

Grantley College is proud to announce that the formal opening of its brand new sports facility will take place on Saturday 15 May 2010.

The days activities will have a World Cup theme and will be an enjoyable and fun day for the whole family.

This Saturday will be compulsory for all students and also be on our  major fundraisers for the year.

To this end we will need your help with sponsorship/contribution towards one of the stalls or prizes or vouchers for the grand raffle.  We are also looking for parents to help organise the days events.

Your childs tutor will be in touch with more details in the near future.

Please put Saturday 15 May in your dairy and join us celebrating the opening of our sports field and help us to  raise money for future projects.

SOCCER SHIRTS

As a school, Grantley College has decided to become involved in the Fifa Soccer World Cup  Our aim is to show loyalty to South Africa as well as to get behind the Bafana Bafana soccer team.  We are also raising funds towards our own soccer field which we are planning to open with a big bash on the 15th May 2010.

We are therefore encouraging all the students to buy a South African soccer t-shirt from the school.  They will be able to wear these on Fridays to school. The teachers have already started the trend. No other soccer shirt will be allowed. The soccer shirt will be on sale daily, in the mornings, from Mrs Duif at R120.00 each.  Should you wish to order for family and friends as well, feel free to do so.

Ladies shirts range from small to X large  available in green, and the mens shirts are available from small to XX large in white and green.  These shirts are Fifa approved.

More details regarding the opening on the 15th May will follow.

Please support our endeavour as well as our fund-raising venture.
