Dear [NAME]

ACADEMIC PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear Parents

We begin out academic year with a most auspicious occasion .The annual prizegiving and welcome evening for our new families.

The day begins with the Certificate Awards in the morning and culminates in the evening with the Academic Prizegiving and Welcome to Grantley  ceremony.

It is a day of signifying joy and pride as we celebrate the achievements of our children. This year the evening event will be  catered for by our matric  families (a brand new tradition for Grantley College!) as a gift to welcome all the new families to our College.

I am pleased to say that we had a very good response from our seniors and wish to thank all those parents who have so far respondeding such a  positive and generous manner.

Prizegiving this year is on Thursday 28 January 2010, and the invitations to our prizewinners will be issued today.  Parents must please take note that due to the size of our hall, attendance at the prizegiving is by invitation only.

I look forward to seeing all our recipients and their parents next Thursday.

FROM THE PSYCHOLOGY DESK OF DR KRUGER

Welcome back to all our learners, parents and staff. The Edu-support Team would also like to welcome all our new learners and parents to the Grantley College family!

A word of encouragement for the new school year:

Each day holds a surprise. But only if we expect it can we see, hear, or feel it when it comes to us. Let`s not be afraid to receive each day`s surprise, whether it comes to us as sorrow or as joy. It will open a new place in our hearts, a place where we can welcome new friends and celebrate more fully our shared humanity.  Often we want to be able to see into the future. But the art of living is to enjoy what we can and not complain. Look for the good in someone else, accept others, and love unconditionally. You only have one life to live, so live it well for this day will never come again! Good luck for the new year!

Some advice to live by:
